Frequently Asked Questions

What is life coaching?

For me, the way I explain life coaching is as personal training for the mind. Just like you might need a strength trainer or martial arts coach to help you maximize your physical ability, a life coach helps you maximize things such as self-awareness, motivation, goal clarification and other internal aspects effecting your life.
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as ‘Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential’

Why would I hire a coach?

You might hire a coach to help you through a professional project, personal development, or times of transition. There are a TON of reasons why you might need a coach and if you have made it this far then you probably have a reason in your mind that brought you here. Let’s chat about it!

What is the aim of coaching?

My personal aim is to help you, as an individual, grow, become more confident in yourself, achieve your personal goals and access your inner power. I am here to support you, give you space to explore your issues and goals, and look at things from a different perspective.

What type of coaching approach do you use?

I use a non-directive and holistic coaching approach. This statement is just a fancy way of saying that I use empowering and thought-provoking questions to help you see your situation from a different perspective, gain clarity and uncover options you may not have thought of on your own. We look at you as a whole (mind, body, and soul) so you can feel confident to lead the life you want to lead.

Who do you coach?

I work best with women who are ready to change, but just might need a little support to figure out how. You have the power, I just help you find it!

How do I know you are the right coach for me?

If you read through my website and related to anything I said, then I am the right coach for you. But if that isn’t reason enough, please set up a time to chat with me. I offer 15-minute time slots for you to ask me any questions you have. Let’s chat and make sure we vibe! Then we can go from there. No pressure and no hard feelings, because if I am not the right coach for you I would love to help you find someone who is!

What is the right coaching pathway for me?

This is hard to answer without knowing your story a bit more, but typically the best pathway it to start with an intake session and then based on your goals we can decide if one-on-one sessions or group sessions are best for your goals, challenges and life path. The majority of my clients do weekly, one-on-one sessions that run from 30-45 minutes.

What else do you do to help women?

I also offer boudoir photography services, you can find out more about that here: http://boudoir.developingwithdevan.com/.

When you know who you are, no one can tell you who you should be.
